Philosophy of the Victorian Centres Against Sexual Assault
The Victorian Centres Against Sexual Assault Forum is committed to addressing the inequalities within society which result in the perpetration of sexual violence and family violence against women, children and men.
Statistics
Approximately one in four women (23% or 2.2 million) has experienced at least one incident of violence by an intimate partner (intimate partner = a current or previous partner with whom the respondent lives or has lived, or a current or former boyfriend, girlfriend or date with whom the respondent has not lived with).
What happens when you contact a CASA?
CASAs work to ensure that women, children and men who are victim/survivors of sexual assault have access to comprehensive, timely support and intervention to address their needs.
